BALLOON SUBSTITUTION POLICY

Balloon arrangements are handcrafted and product availability may change because of manufacturer inventory, discontinued designs, seasonal availability, supplier availability or production-batch variations.

Balloon Duet will make reasonable efforts to reproduce the overall design purchased while preserving its theme, color palette, style, quality and value.

GENERAL SUBSTITUTION RULE

Where an exact component is unavailable, Balloon Duet may use a reasonable substitute that does not materially change the principal character, theme, personalization or overall appearance of the arrangement.

Where reasonably possible, substitutes will be of comparable or greater quality and retail value.

1. LARGE LICENSED CHARACTER FOILS

If an exact licensed character foil is unavailable, another design featuring the same character, franchise or closely corresponding theme may be used where it reasonably preserves the arrangement.

2. 18–20 INCH FOIL BALLOONS

Graphics and designs may vary according to manufacturer availability.

The occasion, message, theme and overall color direction will be preserved where reasonably possible.

3. SINGING BALLOONS

If an exact singing balloon is unavailable, we may seek a comparable balloon involving the same character, theme, occasion or song.

If no reasonable alternative exists, we will make reasonable efforts to contact the customer.

4. NUMBER & LETTER BALLOONS

We will not intentionally substitute the requested number or letter.

If the requested color, size, material or style is unavailable and a material change is required, we will make reasonable efforts to contact the customer.

5. NON-LICENSED BUBBLE BALLOONS

We will not materially change the principal bubble balloon without approval where doing so would substantially change the arrangement.

Minor manufacturer differences are not considered material substitutions.

6. LICENSED BUBBLE BALLOONS

Where necessary, a licensed bubble may be substituted with a reasonable alternative preserving the principal character, message, occasion or theme.

7. LATEX COLORS & SIZES

We make reasonable efforts to use the selected colors and sizes.

Minor shade variations may occur because of manufacturing batches, lighting, inflation and screen displays.

A material change to the overall color palette will not normally be made without attempting to contact the customer.

8. PLAIN FOIL SHAPES

Plain stars, hearts and similar foil balloons may be substituted with a closely coordinating shade where the exact shade is unavailable.

The requested shape will be maintained where reasonably possible.

9. PERSONALIZED LARGE FOIL SHAPES

The principal shape will not normally be materially substituted without customer approval.

Secondary decorative components may vary.

10. PERSONALIZED 18-INCH FOILS

The underlying graphic, print or pattern may vary according to availability.

The agreed personalization will be preserved unless otherwise approved.

11. SPECIALTY LATEX SHAPES

A materially different specialty shape will not normally be substituted without approval.

12. SPECIALTY PRINTED LATEX

Patterns and print placement may naturally vary.

Agate and similar patterned balloons are individually variable and will not appear identical.

We will preserve the intended overall color palette where reasonably possible.

13. AIRSPRAY & BIRTHDAY PRINTS

Graphics or printed patterns may vary according to availability.

We will make reasonable efforts to preserve the occasion, theme and overall appearance.

HANDCRAFTED VARIATIONS

No two balloon arrangements are identical.

Minor differences in balloon position, dimensions, inflation, spacing, shade, ribbon, decorative components and handcrafted composition are normal and are not, by themselves, defects.

PRODUCT PHOTOGRAPHS

Website photographs represent the general style and composition of our products.

Props, furniture, backgrounds and other decorative elements appearing in photographs are not included unless identified in the product description or options.

The product title, description and selected options determine what is included.

WHEN WE MAY SUBSTITUTE WITHOUT ADDITIONAL APPROVAL

If a substitution falls within this policy and does not materially change the arrangement, Balloon Duet may proceed without additional approval.

MATERIAL CHANGES

If a substitution would materially change the principal character, theme, personalization or overall appearance, we will make reasonable efforts to contact the customer.

If the customer cannot be reached and fulfillment is time-sensitive, Balloon Duet may use reasonable professional judgment to preserve the agreed theme, color palette, style, quality and value where a reasonable substitute is available.

IF NO REASONABLE SUBSTITUTE EXISTS

Depending on the circumstances, an appropriate solution may include modifying the arrangement, replacing the affected component, offering an alternative product, rescheduling where feasible, store credit, partial refund, refund where required or otherwise appropriate, or another reasonable remedy.

SUBSTITUTION IS NOT AUTOMATICALLY A DEFECT

A reasonable substitution made in accordance with this policy is not, by itself, considered a defective or incorrect product.

EXACT COMPONENTS THAT ARE ESSENTIAL TO YOUR EVENT

If a particular character, color, shape or component is essential and you do not wish to permit a reasonable substitution, please contact Balloon Duet before ordering to confirm availability.

CONCERNS

If you believe a substitution materially differs from what this policy permits, please contact us as soon as possible and preferably within 1 hour of delivery or pickup, with your order number and photographs.

We will review the circumstances and provide an appropriate remedy where warranted.

Nothing in this policy limits rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded.
