Balloon Performance
BALLOON CARE & PERFORMANCE POLICY
Balloon Duet uses professional-quality balloons and materials. However, balloons are fragile and their performance is affected by environmental conditions and handling.
FLOAT TIME & LIFESPAN
Any float time or lifespan stated by Balloon Duet is an estimate rather than a guarantee.
Under favorable indoor conditions, treated latex balloons may commonly remain inflated approximately:
- 11-inch latex: up to approximately 2 days
- 16-inch latex: approximately 3–4 days
Foil balloons may remain inflated for several days under favorable indoor conditions.
Air-filled décor generally lasts longer than helium-filled latex balloons.
Actual results vary.
OUTDOOR USE
Outdoor balloon performance cannot be guaranteed.
Heat, sunlight, cold, wind, rain, humidity, precipitation, rough surfaces and rapid temperature changes can cause balloons to pop, shrink, expand, move, fade or deteriorate.
TEMPERATURE
Cold temperatures may temporarily cause helium or air inside balloons to contract, making balloons appear softer.
Warmer temperatures may cause the gas to expand again.
Excessive heat may cause balloons to expand and burst.
OXIDATION
Latex balloons naturally oxidize when exposed to air, sunlight and environmental conditions.
A glossy balloon may gradually become matte or cloudy.
Normal oxidation is not a defect.
AIRFLOW
Strong air conditioning, heating vents, fans and open windows may affect balloon positioning and performance.
Keep balloons away from strong airflow whenever possible.
AFTER DELIVERY
Once an order has been delivered and accepted in good condition, subsequent balloon performance may be affected by conditions outside our control.
THIRD-PARTY RECIPIENTS
When an order is accepted by a customer-authorized concierge, front desk, reception desk, security desk, venue representative, event planner or similar recipient, delivery may be considered completed.
Subsequent handling and storage are outside Balloon Duet's control.
MOVING & TRANSPORTATION
Moving, transporting, dismantling or reinstalling balloon arrangements after delivery or pickup may damage or alter them.
Balloon Duet cannot guarantee performance after an arrangement has been moved or transported by the customer or another third party.
DAMAGED OR POTENTIALLY DEFECTIVE BALLOONS
If you believe a balloon or arrangement was defective or damaged when supplied, please contact Balloon Duet as soon as possible and preferably within 1 hour of receiving the order.
Please provide your order number and clear photographs or video.
If Balloon Duet determines that an item was defective when supplied, an appropriate resolution will be provided according to the circumstances.
This may include correction, repair, replacement of the affected balloon or component, store credit, partial refund, refund where required or otherwise appropriate, or another reasonable remedy.
Any remedy will generally relate to the affected item or affected portion rather than automatically applying to the entire order, subject to applicable law.
CEILINGS & SURFACES
Ceilings, walls, landscaping, rough surfaces, textured finishes, sharp objects and other environmental features may damage balloons.
Balloon Duet cannot guarantee balloon performance against venue or environmental conditions outside our reasonable control.
NATURAL VARIATIONS
Minor variations in color, shape, size, inflation, print placement and finish are normal characteristics of balloon products and handcrafted décor.
RIBBON, WEIGHTS & ACCESSORIES
Ribbon, weights and decorative accessories may vary according to availability.
An exact accessory match is not guaranteed unless specifically agreed.
BOUQUET POSITIONING
Balloons naturally rotate and move.
The exact position or orientation of each balloon within a bouquet cannot be guaranteed throughout its lifespan.
SAFETY
Do not inhale helium.
Broken and uninflated balloons may present a choking hazard. Children and pets should be supervised.
Foil balloons should not be released outdoors because of potential electrical and environmental hazards.
Latex balloons contain natural rubber latex and may cause allergic reactions in sensitive individuals.
Keep balloons away from flames, excessive heat and other hazardous conditions.
PRODUCT PHOTOGRAPHS
Product photographs represent the general style and composition of our handcrafted products.
Reasonable variations may occur as described in our Balloon Substitution Policy.
APPLICABLE LAW
Nothing in this policy excludes or limits any right, condition, warranty or remedy that cannot legally be excluded.
6. INSTALLATION, ON-SITE SERVICE & TEARDOWN POLICY
NEW POLICY — COPY & PASTE
INSTALLATION, ON-SITE SERVICE & TEARDOWN POLICY
This policy applies to orders that include on-site installation, setup, styling, rental equipment, teardown or removal services.
INSTALLATION SERVICES
Installation is included only when expressly stated in the confirmed order, invoice, proposal or quotation.
Services may include balloon garlands, arches, walls, columns, ceiling installations, backdrops, frames, structures, signs and other agreed décor.
The installation price is based on the confirmed scope, location, access requirements and information supplied to Balloon Duet.
Additional work or material changes requested on-site are subject to availability and may result in additional charges.
Any additional charge will be communicated for customer approval before additional work is performed whenever reasonably practicable.
VENUE ACCESS
The customer is responsible for ensuring reasonable and timely access to the venue.
Where applicable, this includes:
- Building and room access
- Loading areas
- Elevators
- Parking
- Concierge/security authorization
- Access codes
- Service entrances
- Installation-area access
- An authorized contact
The installation area should be reasonably accessible before our scheduled arrival.
Substantial delays, waiting time, additional labor, parking expenses or return visits caused by access problems outside Balloon Duet's control may result in reasonable additional charges.
VENUE PERMISSION
The customer is responsible for confirming that the venue permits the requested décor and installation method.
Any restrictions involving walls, ceilings, windows, doors, floors, railings, furniture, fixtures or structures must be communicated before installation.
Balloon Duet may refuse a method we reasonably believe is unsafe, prohibited or likely to cause unreasonable damage.
SURFACES
Different surfaces respond differently to adhesives, hooks, tape, mounting materials, pressure and friction.
Balloon Duet will exercise reasonable care.
The customer or venue must inform us of delicate, recently painted, damaged, unstable, specialty, historic or otherwise sensitive surfaces.
Balloon Duet is not responsible for pre-existing damage or underlying conditions that could not reasonably have been identified.
Nothing in this provision excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.
ACTUAL VENUE CONDITIONS
Quotations and designs may rely upon photographs, measurements, descriptions or floor plans supplied before the event.
If actual conditions materially differ, Balloon Duet may reasonably modify positioning, configuration, installation method or other non-essential aspects.
We will make reasonable efforts to preserve the intended overall appearance.
POSITIONING
The customer or authorized representative should identify the desired installation location where necessary.
Relocating a completed or partially completed installation may require additional labor and may not always be safely possible.
Additional charges may apply to customer-requested relocation.
OUTDOOR INSTALLATIONS
Outdoor installations are particularly sensitive to weather and environmental conditions.
Balloon lifespan and appearance cannot be guaranteed outdoors.
UNSAFE CONDITIONS
Safety takes priority.
Balloon Duet may delay, modify, relocate, suspend or decline an installation where conditions reasonably present a safety risk.
Where reasonably possible, we will work with the customer toward an alternative arrangement.
THIRD-PARTY CHANGES
After installation, customers, guests, venue staff and other third parties should not move, untie, dismantle, climb on or alter the installation or supporting equipment.
Balloon Duet is generally not responsible for subsequent damage caused by unauthorized handling, venue activity or circumstances outside our reasonable control.
SAFETY
Children and pets should be supervised around installations.
Guests should not climb, pull, sit on or hang from decorative structures, frames, backdrops, weights or equipment.
RENTAL EQUIPMENT
Unless expressly sold, Balloon Duet stands, frames, backdrops, bases, poles, weights, structures, signs, hardware and other rental equipment remain Balloon Duet property.
Rental equipment must not be removed, altered, discarded or retained.
Loss, theft or damage beyond reasonable wear may result in a reasonable repair or replacement charge.
TEARDOWN
Teardown is not automatically included with installation.
It is included only when expressly stated in the order, invoice, proposal or quotation.
If teardown was not purchased, the customer or venue is responsible for removing décor and following the agreed arrangements for Balloon Duet rental equipment.
SCHEDULED TEARDOWN
When teardown has been purchased, Balloon Duet will return during the agreed service window.
The customer is responsible for providing reasonable venue access.
Substantial delays, additional waiting or return visits may result in reasonable additional charges.
TEARDOWN CHANGES
Requests to change an agreed teardown time are subject to availability.
Additional staffing, after-hours work, transportation, parking, waiting or separate trips may result in additional charges.
EQUIPMENT REMOVED BEFORE COLLECTION
Rental equipment must remain secure and available for Balloon Duet collection.
Please notify us if décor or equipment has been moved, dismantled or relocated before our arrival.
EVENT DELAYS
If an event remains in progress at the scheduled teardown time, we will make reasonable efforts to accommodate the circumstances.
Substantial waiting or a required return visit may result in additional charges.
PHOTOGRAPHY
Balloon Duet may photograph completed décor for documentation, quality control, portfolio and marketing purposes where permitted by the venue and applicable law.
We will not intentionally publish personally identifying or private images where consent is legally required and has not been obtained.
Customers should notify us before installation of photography restrictions.
COMPLETION
Installation is substantially completed when the décor and services included in the confirmed scope have been installed, subject to reasonable handcrafted variations and permitted adjustments.
DAMAGE OR SERVICE CONCERNS
If you believe Balloon Duet caused property damage or materially failed to perform the confirmed service, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible with photographs and relevant information.
We will investigate and work toward an appropriate resolution where Balloon Duet is responsible.
